The first thing we realize as young trumpeters is: We can play loud, louder than anybody else in the band except the drummer. This is not surprising because Joshua’s trumpets (Shofar) were blown loud at the battle of Jericho .The book of psalms also said ‘with trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful NOISE before the Lord, the King.
